Update on Thelma

Talked to Thelma on the phone today. She has moved from Heartland Hospital to the Rehabilitation Center at Herrin Hospital for therapy. Her hip is not in a cast. Doctor's think the fracture occurred quite some time ago, and it has already begun to heal.

She has been walking with considerable pain for a while, but last Friday (May 20) she suddenly could not stand. It took a week in the hospital and several tests to figure out what will be best for her. Since it is now a holiday weekend, she won't be evaluated and started on therapy until Tuesday at best.
