Condolences for Emily McElhaney

Lincoln IL: Emily R. McElhaney, 100, passed away Monday, April 21, 2013 at The Christian Village surrounded by her loving family.

Visitation was held Friday, April 25th with funeral services following.

Emily was born Nov. 19, 1913 in Delavan, IL, the daughter of Richmond Robison and Ina Goodyear Robison. She married Ernest D. Mc Elhaney on June 21, 1944 in Norfolk, VA. He preceded her in death on Dec. 9, 1995.

She is survived by two daughters, Carolyn (James) Schwartz of Watseka, IL, and Juanita (Stan) Paulis of Springfield, IL; one son, Bob (Marta) McElhaney of Peoria, IL; six grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Marilyn Cox; two brothers, Alfred Robison and Richmond Robison Jr; and one sister, Ruth Kinsinger.

Emily was a long time Extension Home Economics Adviser. I believe she worked in White County, and am not sure about the others. Marilyn Cox worked in Gallatin County for a short time.
